Watch the webinar recording here soon
The online launch of the PIECE study’s final report took place on 20 September 2023.
Following an opening by Andrew Gwynne MP – Shadow Social Care Minister and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fatherhood – we heard a presentation on the headline findings from Helen Norman (PI) and Jeremy Davies (co-I) that highlight the importance of fathers’ care for children’s education and development.
We also heard about a practice example on the benefits of fathers reading to their children from Jeszemma Howl. who talked about the Fatherhood Institute’s Fathers Reading Every Day (FRED) programme. There was a panel discussion about the importance and challenges of engaging fathers with experts from Learning with Parents, Peeple, Dope Black Dads, TheDadLab and Parentkind.
We will be adding a link to the webinar soon.
